Internship Report

I am Ummul Salamah Mahmod from diploma Graphic Design, 2014050166. I’d start my Internship Program on 1^st of June 2016 at GitalohaMusic, Taman Connaught, Cheras. It’s a music company. My job was designing their website’s banners, advertising, stickers design and photography. There’s time where I were asked to take pictures of their products outside their premise. Furthermore, I learnt how to make a great advertisements in order to enhance my skills. I also learnt how to manage a website using wordpress which I’d learn in college. All the theory learnt in the college were nicely executed and I think I’d succeed my internship.

Here are some of the task I’d done during my internship program.

This is my first task. Which I have to create a web banner for the company’s website which the products are, cajon. The size is 1600x1100 pixels.

 This is my second task. Which, I have to make a web banner about cajon’s bag. I edited some of the picture and then I put it all together.

This is my third task. This is also a web banner. Which is to promote the company’s is all about. What can be found in the GitalohaMusic.

This process of making this design taught me to be brave to in order to produce a good design. This is certainly the longest process of all and also my favourite. A new design signature.

This is my fifth task which I have to make a guitar brand sticker.

This is my sixth task which I have to make a logo for manicure machine. Which the new product of GitalohaMusic.

The idea is to make a logo which need no vector images or any illustration. Just a logo of font.

Therefore, I played with some font and finally I picked one which chosen by my boss.

This is my seventh task which I have to make a sticker as gift for purchased. The company’s theme is a bit like Hawaiian. So, I added some Hawaiian’s mood in it.

Those are not the only thing that I did for my 3 months internship. There’s plenty but they are the best of all. For myself, I guess I’d developed my illustration’s skills and I’d improved little by little. 

Task 3: Fashion Photography

For our final assignment, we have to capture a fashion photography and my concept is denim. Its very classy and looks kind of cool. I love this kind of style and it define fashion more than any fashion created in this world.

Task 2: Documentary Photography

Our second task is Documentary Photography. My concept is THE MIDST OF HARDSHIP. Which defines people where they do some works for their living and they still happy even their jobs is tough and some non gritty person could not accomplished it. When i snap them with my camera, i can see it in their eyes. As, they did their job sincerely.

Task 1: Life Photography

For our first assignment, we have to snap our favourite cafe as the subject. Mine i choose Stalker Cafe. Why? Because this cafe has its own artistic value as there's tons of mural on the wall. How the arrange the dining that looks so nice and comfortable. There's also some table that are painted on it to make it more classy.

Photography

3D Typography

Our last assignment is 3D typography. I choose letter L for my illustration. First I type the letter L and I extrude the letter into 3D using Photoshop. 

This is the sample of my 3D process.

After I am satisfied with the lighting and colour, I rasterized it.

Then I create some texture to make it looks like fury and I add on a eye to make it looks like caterpillar.

Then I add up some tree to make it looks like a caterpillar is climbing on the tree.
