What is Internet Advertising & E-Commerce?

      Internet Advertising is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the Internet to deliver promotional marketing messages to consumers. It includes email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, many types of display advertising (including web banner advertising), and mobile advertising.

      Like other advertising media, online advertising frequently involves both a publisher, who integrates advertisements into its online content, and an advertiser, who provides the advertisements to be displayed on the publisher's content.

       Also called an "ad network" or "ad serving network," Internet advertising organizations act as a middleman between the advertiser and the Internet venues that display the ads. They sell the online campaign to the advertisers and then deliver the ads to the sites that display them.

      Other potential participants include advertising agencies who help generate and place the ad copy, an ad server which technologically delivers the ad and tracks statistics, and advertising affiliates who do independent promotional work for the advertiser.

        E-commerce is trading in products or services using computer networks, such as the Internet. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems.

       Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web for at least one part of the transaction's life cycle, although it may also use other technologies such as e-mail.
Buy or sell on online marketplace
Gather and use demographic data through web contacts and social media.
Use electronic data interchange, the business-to-business exchange of data.

19th Century

In the late 19th century , graphic design emerged as a dhe istinet Profession in the west , in part because of the job specialization Process that occured there , and in part because of the new technologies and commercial possibilities brought about by tthe industrial Revolution . New production methods led to the separation of the design of a communication medium like poster , from its actual production , Increasely , over the course of the late 19th Century , advertising agencies , book publishers ang magazines hired art directors who organized all visual elements of the communcation and brought them into a harmonious whole , creating an expression apprioate to the contant . In 1922 typograpyer William A . Dwiggins coined the term graphic design to identify the emerging field .







                                APPLICATION

      From road sign to the technical schematics from interoffice memorandums to reference manuals , graphic design enhances transfer of knowledge and visual messages . Readability and legibility is enhanced of by improves the visual presentations and layout of text Design can also did in selling a product an idea through effective visual communication . It is applied to Product and elements of company identify like logos, colors , packaging and text . Together these are defined as branding ( see also advertising ) . Branding has increasingly become important in the range of service offered by many graphic designers . Along corporate identity . Whilst the terms are often used interchangeably , branding is more strictly related to the identifying mark of trade name for a product of service , where as corporate identity can have a broader meaning relating to the structure and etuas of a company , as well as to the company's external images . Graphic designers will often from part of team working on corporate identity and branding projects .


                                                         SKILLS 

     Graphic designer project may involve the stylization and presentation of existing text and either preexisting imagery or images developed by the graphic designer . Artistic pieces can be incorporated in both traditional and digital form , which involves the use of visual arts , typography and page layout techniques for publications and marketing . For example , a newspaper story begins with the journalists job to organize the page into a reasonable layout and determine it any other graphic designer or art director will commission photographer or illustrators to create original pieces just to be incorporated into the design layout or the designer may utilize stock imagery or photography. contemporary design practise has been extended to the modern computer , for example in the use of WYS/WYG user interfaces , often referred to as interactive design or multimedia design .



NEOCLASSICISM and ARTWORK

       Neo classicism art is a severe and unemotional form of art harkening back to the grandeur of ancient Greece and Rome . It's rigidity was a reaction to the overbred Rococo style and the emotional charged Boroque style . The rise of Noeclassical thought , which was of some importance in the American and French revolution . Important Neoclassicists include the artitects Robert Smirke and Robert Adam , the sculptors Antonio Canova , Jean-Antoine Houdon and bertel Thorvaldsen and painters J.A.D.Ingres ,Jacques-Louis David and Anton Raphael Mengs . Around 1800 , Romaticism emerged as a reaction against Neoclassicm . It did not really replace the Neoclassical style so much as act as a counterbalancing influence , ang many artists were influenced by both styles to a certain degree . Neoclassical Arat was also Primary influence on 19th Century Academic Art .






                                         Art Nouveau & Interior Fashion 

         Art Nouvaeau is an elegant decorative art style characterized by intricate patterns of curving lines . It's origins some what rooted in the British Art and crafts movement of William Morris . Art Nouveau was popular across Europe and in the United States as well . Leading Practioners included Alphorde Macha , Aubrey Beardbley , Gustav Klint and American glass marker Louis Comfort Tiffany . Art Nouveau remained popular until around the time of the world war I , and was ultimately replaced by the Art Deco Styles .




                                                            Ogilvy  and Mather

1) Who is he ? 
David Mackezie Ogilvy was born in West Horsley . England on June 23,1911. He was educated at Fettes College in Edinburgh and at Christ Church , Oxford (although he didn't graduate) . He was one of the greatest adversiting executive , " Ad Men " . 

2) What he does ? 
He  is the founder of Ogilvy and Mather . Which is one of the largest marketing communication in the world . 

3) Whwn he started ? 
Ogilvy and Mather was founded in 1948 by British born David Ogilvy , with backpacking by a previous employer , the London advertising agency Mather and Crowther . Mather and Crowther originally sent David Ogilvy to the United States in 1938 . Over the next ten years , Ogilvy worked in research at the Gallup polling company , worked for British Intelligence during World War II , then spent a few years farming in Pennsylvania , Ogilvy in 1948 started a U.S agency with the backing of Mather and Crow . Who ny then had merged with the U.K based Benson agency group . Ogilvy opened his U.S shop as "Hewitt , Ogilvy , Benson and Mather" . In Manhattan with a staff of two and no clients . Ogilvy was acquired by the wpp Group in 1989 for $864 Million .

What is Hieroglyph ?

A hieroglyph or sacred writing is a character of the ancient Egyptian writing system using picture symbols. Hieroglyph written with hieroglyphic symbols, which also a figure or symbol that consist of hidden meaning that is difficult to read or decipher.

What is Symbol ?

Symbol is something used for regarded as representing something else. Symbols can also defined as a letter, figure, token, sign, or other character or combination of letters used to designate something. An object that represents or stands for an idea, visual image, or material entity is also defined symbols.

What is Icon ?

An icon is an image or figure that representing something. Icon can be formed in any of various stylized figure, as displayed on a microcomputer screen to representing available functions or resources. Icon can also be defined as an image or picture of Jesus, Mary, a saint, which venerated as sacred.



PICTOGRAPHY

What is Pictography ?

Pictography is a form of writing which uses representational, pictorial drawings that similarly to cunieform and hieroglyphic writing. In certain modern use, pictogram participate to a formal language.




What is Graphic Design?

Graphic design is the methodology of visual communication, and problem-solving through the use of type, space and image.

Common uses of graphic design include identity (logos and branding), publications (magazines, newspapers and books), print advertisements, posters, billboards, website graphics and elements, signs and product packaging.
